“I have attended many dinners at Gerhild's for large groups of people as well as receptions which she has coordinated. I can guarantee that you will not find a more creative event coordinator. To look at a table set for a reception that she has created is akin to looking at a Baroque still life painting. Everything is in full color and gorgeous. Her fruit bowls are amazing with overflowing mounds of grapes set in the perfect, elegant bowls. Plates and chargers, napkins and candles are all perfectly pulled together in colorful array. It's never a simple cheese platter; it's always huge chunks of cheese surrounded by fresh and dried fruits and nuts, looking over-the-top. And she is a superb cook and is experienced in cooking for crowds. She knows how to put together a menu for large groups that can be prepared successfully and ahead of time. No fussy labor-intensive cooking for a group of 75! She also clearly knows how to work with food purveyors to purchase food in large quantities. Knowing Gerhild as I do, I know that she is not extravagant; she knows how to prepare a spectacular meal on a budget.”
